  • We will be performing outside. I only have 1 KW-181, and my drummer has 3 Mackie SWA1501 POWERED subs.

I want to use all 4 together for the outdoor performance for the low end. Can anyone offer any suggestions as far chaining these together, or does it not matter in the order? Anything else I should be aware of? The 3 way speaker tops are also powered as well.

  • The best thing you can do is make sure the subs all are in the same polarity.

Do the Mackie subs have a built-in low-pass filter? If so, what are the parameters?

  • Hey Bob, thanks for the reply. Not sure if the Mackies have a built in low pass filter, but one of the guys has a rack that can control these frequencies like a DBX.
