  • I just bought a pair of gx5 amps, One is being used for stage monitors, the other for the mains. need some help making sure the best way to hook up the monitors. Right now i have been daisy chaining two monitors together on each channel of the monitor amp, running it in full range, with the 1/4" jumper between ch1 and ch2. Is this the correct way to hook them up?

    Monitors, 4 Yamaha's A-12 300pgm 600 peak @ 8ohms.
    House, 2 Yamaha A-15, 400pgm 800 peak @ 8ohms.
    Mixer, Mackie ProFx12.

    Any help would be great,
    Thanks.

  • That's a good way to do it. If it works well for you, keep doing it that way.
